Kinnakeet Guide Service offers fishing and hunting trips, and one of their most popular offerings is inshore and offshore kayak fishing, which is exploding in popularity on the Outer Banks. In a fleet of top-of-the-line Jackson and Kaku kayaks with all top-grade tackle and equipment, the experienced guides offer full or half day trips and expert instruction for up to five anglers. Depending on the season, kayak trips target flounder, speckled trout, redfish, sheepshead, cobia and more; in late summer they offer high-action tarpon fishing trips. They also offer land-based shark-fishing trips. The guides, who have more than 20 years of experience fishing and hunting the Outer Banks, also offer waterfowl hunting trips in the fall. Home base is their shop, Kinnakeet Guide Service Saltwater Provisions in Avon, but they offer trips from Nags Head to Ocracoke. In addition to apparel, kayaks and outdoors-oriented supplies, the shop sells bait, tackle and lures from suppliers found no where else on the Outer Banks. They can also book traditional inshore and offshore fishing charters.
