They are celebrating their 12th season and offering a new fleet of four-passenger and six-passenger golf carts. Rentals are available hourly, overnight or weekly. Walk-in rentals are welcome, but advance reservations for overnight and weekly rentals are always the better choice in the summer season. Their carts are equipped with headlights and safety belts, and they also provide child safety seats if needed. Cart delivery and pick-up are provided with weekly rentals at most locations on the island. Park your car, slow your roll and enjoy exploring historic Ocracoke Village in one of their convenient and reliable electric golf carts. (Remember: Golf carts are for use in the Village only, not on the highway or the beach.) Check out their updated website, call or stop by and visit their rental office across from the Anchorage Inn and near the NPS parking lot at the south end of the island. This locally owned and operated business makes renting easy and provides excellent customer service. They are open daily at 8 a.m. from March through November.

They will deliver your cart to your rental house or hotel, or if you’re just on Ocracoke for the day, they’ll let you park and scoot off into the village, with the fresh air on your cheeks. If you are flying into the tiny Ocracoke airstrip, they’ll pick you up and get you set up with a cart for your time on the island and deliver you back when it’s time to go. Wheelie’s great customer service has earned them lots of repeat business, so reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome as well.
