Things to Do in Ocracoke

Deepwater Theater and Music Hall on School Road is the headquarters for Ocracoke Alive, a nonprofit organization that sponsors cultural and artistic activities and festivals. Ocracoke Alive offers summertime shows in this indoor, air-conditioned performance hall, including Wednesday night Ocrafolk Opry performances as well as a few guest concerts. Located in the heart of Ocracoke Village along Silver Lake Harbor, Ocracoke Island Golf Carts provides the perfect way to get the most out of your stay on the island. They are celebrating their 12th season and offering a new fleet of four-passenger and six-passenger golf carts. Rentals are available hourly, overnight or weekly. Walk-in rentals are welcome, but advance reservations for overnight and weekly rentals are always the better choice in the summer season. Their carts are equipped with headlights and safety belts, and they also provide child safety seats if needed. Cart delivery and pick-up are provided with weekly rentals at most locations on the island. Park your car, slow your roll and enjoy exploring historic Ocracoke Village in one of their convenient and reliable electric golf carts. (Remember: Golf carts are for use in the Village only, not on the highway or the beach.) This locally owned and operated business makes renting easy and provides excellent customer service. They are open daily at 8 a.m. from March through November.
